Each standalone episode transports viewers from modern-day Paris to Moscow to rural America, weaving contemporary stories with the lingering ghosts of the Romanov dynasty. Lavish interiors and location-specific details create a sense of fractured legacy, where characters’ delusions of grandeur collide with mundane reality.
Working with the U.S. production designer and core team during their UK leg of filming, we recreated two train carriages on stage: a high-end passenger car and a bar car, which included a practical train bathroom. I modelled the full train in SketchUp, producing accurate construction drawings directly from the 3D model. I also used the model to generate renders and a virtual walkthrough, which we sent to the designer alongside the technical drawings. This helped guide design discussions with the U.S. team and allowed for clear, collaborative feedback throughout the process.
